Overview:
The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. in Des Moines, Iowa is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Staff Attorney. As a staff attorney, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in central Iowa through legal representation and policy work. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:
- Representing youth in legal matters such as Child in Need of Assistance Actions, juvenile justice, Involuntary Mental Health and Substance Abuse Committals, Minor Guardianships and Emancipations.
- Conducting legal research and providing legal advice to clients.
- Assisting with policy work, trainings, and other activities to support the goals of the ****
- Working a minimum of forty hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work required to meet with clients and their families.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree and admission to the Iowa Bar.
- Preferably experience in litigating juvenile law cases in Iowa.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
