Litigation Paralegal
The candidate will organize records, documents, correspondence, and files into a manageable format. Analysis and review of cases in order to assist in trial preparation. Contact and interview clients, witnesses, experts, third parties, and opposing counsel to obtain information pertinent to the case matter. Assist attorneys in research, drafting pleadings, disclosures, interrogatories, discovery requests, and motions while under close supervision. Schedule and calendar for attorney-client meetings, deadlines, depositions, and activities related to depositions (. court reporter, witnesses, opposing counsel). Track all requests made for documents and records follow up on the status of requests and verify receipt of documents and records. Follow the ethical requirements as set forth by the Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct. Record all billable and non-billable time spent on case files and client matters. A paralegal certificate or degree is required and 2-5 years’ experience; excellent PC and document organization skills. Working knowledge/experience with: Word 2016, Windows 10, Outlook 2016, and familiarity with Worldox or other document management systems and Law Tool Box or other docketing software preferred. Should have strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to prioritize work.
