The ideal candidate will be adept at case strategy development, legal research, client communication, and representing clients in court and legal proceedings. The role involves working collaboratively with a team of attorneys and case managers to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
Duties
- Develop and implement legal strategies for personal injury cases, including discovery, investigation, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in court and before various legal agencies, advocating for their interests.
- Research legal precedents, applicable laws, and remedies relevant to personal injury cases.
- Draft and submit documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and settlement negotiations.
- Conduct and manage discovery, hearings, depositions, oral arguments, and mediations as necessary.
- Meet and communicate with clients to ensure understanding of case status and legal proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements for cases when appropriate, aiming for favorable outcomes.
- Guide personal injury case managers and support staff on assigned cases.
- Collaborate with the attorney team and other firm members to ensure seamless case management.
- Ensure all legal work complies with applicable standards, regulations, and firm protocols.
- Perform administrative tasks related to case management and practice operations.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven trial experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and legal professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide leadership when needed.
- In-depth knowledge of personal injury law and the litigation process.
