Duties:

  • Represent clients in intellectual property litigation matters, including patent infringement cases.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize and prepare for trials, hearings, and appeals.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Manage case files and ensure timely submission of legal documents to courts and other agencies.
  • Conduct legal research on IP laws, patent regulations, and related case law.
  • Engage with clients to provide strategic counsel on IP protection and enforcement.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses and technical consultants to strengthen cases.
  • Assist in managing relationships with clients, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in IP litigation, with a focus on patent disputes.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property law, including patent law and related regulations.
  • Experience with PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) disputes is a plus.
  • A technical background, preferably in engineering disciplines such as electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or biomedical engineering.
  • Prior experience with federal courts and intellectual property litigation matters.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field (preferred).

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar (or willingness to obtain membership).
