Junior Partner Attorney - Job Description
Job Overview: A law firm in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Junior Partner Attorney to take on a leadership role in defending diverse clients in Missouri Workers' Compensation cases. The successful candidate will oversee their staff, manage caseloads, and drive impactful legal outcomes while understanding evolving legal landscapes profoundly.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of legal professionals, including staff and paralegals, in Workers' Compensation cases.
- Handle your caseload independently, including taking depositions, conducting trials, and managing appeals.
- Draft detailed and persuasive legal documents and research articles for the firm’s client newsletter.
- Deliver educational presentations to clients and participate in other client-oriented activities.
- Develop and comprehensively understand current Workers' Compensation laws and legal trends.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively in all legal proceedings.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Coordinate tasks and manage multiple cases to ensure timely and efficient resolution.
Requirements:
- Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois.
- Prior experience in workers’ compensation law is preferred.
Certifications:
- Active and valid license to practice law in Missouri and Illinois.
