Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package offered. ## Construction Attorney Job at Sands Anderson PC Sands Anderson PC is looking for an experienced attorney to join their team as a Construction Attorney. This role will focus on construction law, and the ideal candidate will have a minimum of six (6) years of experience. ### Job Responsibilities The Construction Attorney will be responsible for: - Drafting and negotiating construction and design contracts - Litigating construction claims - Advising clients on regulatory compliance throughout the course of construction projects - Litigating construction-related claims, including construction defects, delay, cost overruns, bid protests, subcontractor disputes, and products liability - Familiarizing with AIA forms and LEED certification - Defending matters before the Construction Board ### Job Requirements The ideal candidate should have: - Knowledge and experience of bonds, sureties, mechanic’s liens, agreements with financial institutions, stop notices, public contract law, and prompt payment law - Expertise with regulatory compliance and advising clients during the full course of construction projects - Experience litigating construction-related claims, including construction defects, delay, cost overruns, bid protests, subcontractor disputes, and products liability - Familiarity with AIA forms and LEED certification preferred - Experience defending matters before the Construction Board also preferred ### Salary and Benefits Sands Anderson offers a competitive salary and benefits package for this position. ### Location This position is available in any of Sands Anderson’s office locations, or for remote candidates licensed to practice in states other than VA and NC. ### Application Sands Anderson is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drugfree Workplace.
