The Senior Associate Attorney will serve as a key member of our nationwide Airports practice, while also supporting our Public-Private Partnerships and Alternative Project Delivery practice. They will work directly with clients and partners on negotiating and drafting agreements supporting a wide variety of complex airport commercial transactions, including airline use and lease agreements, the construction and operation of consolidated rental car facilities, aviation fueling facilities, and other aeronautical and nonaeronautical real estate development. They will also advise clients nationwide on federal regulatory requirements regarding airport development, airport finance, construction, procurement, and environmental matters, ranging from the largest airports in the world to small general aviation facilities.

This is a full-time position to be located in Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, or Washington DC. The salary range is $185,000 - $225,000 commensurate with experience. Requirements

Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 7+ years of experience in airport projects and commercial transactions. To excel in this role, the applicant should have exceptional writing, legal drafting, analytical, negotiating, and advocacy skills. They should be able to multi-task and manage deadlines, and proactively address client matters. They should have a high comfort level in working both independently and in a team environment, and demonstrate academic excellence and leadership, having achieved a law degree from an accredited law school. The applicant should be admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction (CO, NY, DC, or CA, preferred).


Ideal candidates will have experience with the federal regulatory framework in which airports operate, or with other transportation regulations and/or federal transportation agencies (., . DOT, FAA, FRA, FTA, FHWA, STB and Build America Bureau). They should have experience drafting bespoke agreements and other documents supporting innovative commercial transactions with multiple parties and complex financing arrangements. They should have experience with airport operations, airport law, and/or other aspects of aviation, and have a demonstrated interest (professional or personal) in public infrastructure, aviation, transportation, public policy, and/or related matters. They should have an entrepreneurial mindset with a collegial, team-focused approach to legal practice, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
