## Paralegal - Housing Stability

**Organization** New Mexico Legal Aid (NMLA) is a civil legal services provider to low-income New Mexicans, providing assistance with a variety of legal issues including domestic violence/family law, consumer protection, housing, and benefits. With locations throughout the state, NMLA is seeking a paralegal for its Statewide Housing Stability program.

**Job Title** Paralegal - Housing Stability

**Location** Applicants may be housed in any of NMLA's statewide office locations, with a preference for the Albuquerque office.

**Responsibilities**

* Process intakes
* Draft pleadings
* Contact clients
* Support attorneys in preparation for court
* Send referrals to other support service agencies
* Engage in outreach
* Arrange and assist with legal clinics

**Qualifications**

*
* Expertise in housing and statewide resources available to low-income persons
* Ability to effectively use computer technology and remote communications systems
* Ability to effectively collaborate with staff located in multiple offices
* Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and build collaborative relationships
* Must be able to regularly travel
* Proficiency in Spanish is a plus

**Compensation** Salary is dependent on experience and NMLA offers a comprehensive benefits package and generous holiday and leave package.
