The Atlanta office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is looking for an experienced Transportation Associate Attorney to join its Transportation Practice. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in Georgia and have at least one (1) to seven (7) years of insurance defense experience handling matters involving heavy trucking/tractor trailer and cargo and freight carriers. The Transportation Practice at Lewis Brisbois is highly involved in defending the trucking industry and has extensive experience with a variety of issues, including negligent hiring and retention, hours of service, and DOT compliance. The successful candidate will have strong writing and analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities for this role include drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. The ideal candidate must also have a strong understanding of Georgia law and be comfortable managing a high volume of cases.
