Duties:

  • Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches.

  • Draft legal opinions, memoranda, and correspondence relating to patent matters.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, patent examiners, and other attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of patent prosecution experience.
  • Experience in electrical, electro-mechanical, semiconductor, material science, chemical, or optics arts preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Strong understanding of patent law and related regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A bachelor's or advanced degree in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, materials science, optics, or a related field is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate searches.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with patent prosecution software and databases.
