Paralegal - Conduct Interviews, Provide Legal Services, and Conduct Legal Research in Memphis Area

Overview:

We are seeking two (2) experienced Paralegals to join our team at Memphis Area Legal Services (MALS). The ideal candidates will have strong administrative, analytical, and organizational skills to conduct client interviews, provide legal advice, and perform case management duties. The Paralegals will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing pleadings and letters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct interviews with clients, including home visits when appropriate
- Provide high-quality legal services to qualified individuals and groups
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, pleadings, and letters
- Assist in advising clients and performing case management duties
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or graduate of a paralegal training program
- Minimum of one year of experience as a paralegal
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Excellent people skills
