Job Responsibilities:

- Assisting with case preparation and file management
- Maintaining internal dockets and calendars
- Requesting and obtaining client-related records and documents
- Organizing and indexing records requests
- Calendaring important dates and deadlines
- Notifying investigators, staff, and clients of court dates and appointments
- Procuring client records and requested documents

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years general experience
- 1 year specialized experience in paralegal duties
- Strong writing skills and proficiency in computer skills
- Understanding of office confidentiality
- Good judgment and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Experience:

- Legal assistant or paralegal experience
- Experience in criminal defense
- Interest and commitment to indigent defense
