Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Biotechnology Patent Prosecution Associate. The ideal candidate will have a . in biology, molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline, combined with at least two years of experience in patent prosecution. Location:

Duties:

• Manage and prosecute biotechnology patent applications
• Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications, including responses to office actions
• Provide patentability, validity, and infringement analyses
• Offer strategic advice on patent portfolio management
• Collaborate with inventors and clients to develop IP strategies
• Conduct meetings with clients to provide guidance on patent-related matters
• Prepare detailed legal opinions and analysis for clients
• Handle complex biotechnology patent issues with attention to detail

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in biotechnology patent prosecution
• Proven track record in handling patent applications from start to finish
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Client-facing experience with the ability to build and maintain client relationships

Education:

• . in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
• . from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• . bar membership
• Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
