The Global Fund Finance Professional Support Lawyer is a key role within the Knowledge Management department at Mayer Brown LLP. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals in a fast-paced, global law firm environment. The successful candidate will have the chance to make a significant impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our Fund Finance practice, as well as contribute to the firm's overall growth and success. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee a portfolio of over 300 Fund Finance-related model documents and standard forms, ensuring compliance with client policies and market standards - Coordinate and manage 15 predefined tasks for the Fund Finance production team, with a focus on efficiency and high-quality execution - Assess and adopt advanced legal technologies to enhance the delivery of Fund Finance legal services - Collaborate with other departments and teams to stay current on new legal technology trends and assess their potential benefits for our practice - Assist with other departmental administration functions as needed Qualifications: - Juris Doctorate degree and license to practice law in North Carolina or Illinois - Experience in a law firm or corporate law department, with a focus on finance practice - Prior supervisory or lead experience building teams - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to assess and implement cutting-edge legal technologies - Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills Management Accountabilities: - Manage direct reports, including performance appraisals, goal setting, and performance counseling - Conduct budget analysis and make recommendations for operational improvements - Participate in the recruitment process and analyze staffing levels - Implement change processes to improve workflow efficiencies - Exercise strong leadership and project management skills We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, back-up childcare and eldercare, generous paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
