Job Description: Kane Russell Coleman and Logan, a mid-sized law firm located in Texas, is seeking a mid-level or senior litigation attorney to join our tort litigation group in Dallas. The group represents high-end, sophisticated clients in litigation, investigations, and emergency response. The ideal candidate will have experience handling all aspects of litigation, supervising associates, and assuming a forward-facing role with clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative group and further develop your career. Responsibilities: - Work under the supervision of assigned attorneys and provide support to the litigation group - Draft legal documents such as notices, discovery, affidavits, and more for review and approval by an attorney - Prepare deposition summaries for use in mediation and trial - Knowledge of e-filing procedures - Effectively communicate with clients, court personnel, counsel, third parties, and more - Conduct factual investigations and analysis of file data - Review and organize case records per firm procedures - Maintain electronic and hardcopy case files per firm procedures - Consistently follow-through and balance priorities to meet tight deadlines - Log and submit case time and expense billing - Effectively present information and respond to questions from various parties - Provide monthly case updates to supervising attorneys - Collaborate and communicate well with team members and clients - Provide exceptional customer service - Demonstrate superior problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently - Maintain competency through continuing education and professional development. Qualifications: - Graduated from an accredited Law School with a GPA in the top 33% - Licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar Association - Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience - Knowledge of all aspects of litigation discovery - Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products and experience with practice and case management databases - Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to maintain confidentiality.
