The successful candidate must be admitted to the New York State Bar and have at least one year of service in the Senior Law Clerk to Judge title or three years of relevant legal experience. This is an exempt and confidential position with the court.

Responsibilities for this position include researching and analyzing complex legal issues for individual judges, providing personal and confidential assistance, and conducting conferences with parties. The successful candidate must have excellent writing, analysis, and communication skills, as well as attention to detail and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PDF software is also required.

This position is personally appointed by the judge or judges for whom they work and serves at their pleasure. The appointee may be subject to reassignment to any position in the same title within the promotion unit. The court is accepting applications for one position, which may be filled in one of several titles depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant.
