A law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-Level Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project finance, specifically focusing on renewable project finance, tax credit monetization transactions, energy transition, natural resources, and infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on complex project finance transactions, including structuring, negotiating, and documenting.
  • Work on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydro, and biomass.
  • Manage tax credit monetization transactions and provide guidance on relevant tax implications.
  • Assist clients with energy transition projects, focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly initiatives.
  • Handle natural resources projects, including mining, oil, and gas.
  • Oversee infrastructure finance transactions, including public-private partnerships (PPP), transportation, and utilities.
  • Conduct due diligence and draft, review, and negotiate various finance documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive legal support to clients.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting project finance and energy sectors.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior associates and support staff.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in project finance, with a focus on renewable project finance, tax credit monetization transactions, energy transition, natural resources, and/or infrastructure.
  • Previous experience at a top-tier law firm is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California Bar (or eligibility to become admitted promptly).
