Job Overview: A law firm in Mesa, AZ, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employment Law Attorney II. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mediation, significant trial experience, and excellent research and writing skills. This role requires a commitment to client service, marketing the firm’s services, and active engagement in professional and community activities.Duties:Successfully mediate employment disputes.Represent clients in significant and complex trials.Research and analyze complex legal issues.Write memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.Market personal and firm services to prospective clients.Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies in preparation for litigation.Conduct thorough due diligence in all legal matters.Maintain strong communication and advocacy skills, including empathetic listening.Manage schedules to allow consultations and achieve production/collection objectives, including outside core hours and weekend consultations.Close consultations within the firm's 30-50% range, depending on the practice area.Approve invoices promptly to ensure the business's financial health monthly.Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive.Accurately and completely update client information, fees, engagement, trust, and invoices in the firm's case management system.Engage in personal and firm brand expansion through blogs, social media posts, board participation, and organization involvement.Seek positive feedback from successful client engagements and encourage positive star reviews.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Requirements:Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.Strong legal research skills.5+ years of experience as an attorney.Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Arizona Bar.Education:Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.Certifications:Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Arizona Bar.Skills:Proven mediation experience.Significant and successful trial experience.Excellent legal research and analytical skills.Proficient in writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.Strong marketing skills for promoting personal and firm services.Competence in performing discovery of electronic and physical data for litigation.Diligence in managing all legal matters.Strong communication and advocacy skills, with an emphasis on empathetic listening.Ability to manage a dynamic schedule, including consultations outside core hours.Financial acumen to approve invoices in a timely.Leadership skills to ensure support staff productivity.Proficiency in using case management systems to update client and case information accurately.Active engagement in branding and marketing through various platforms.Commitment to client service and obtaining positive client feedback.Job Location:Mesa, AZ
