A law firm in Sacramento, California, is seeking a Workplace Safety Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist senior associates and shareholders in litigation matters, with a focus on workplace safety. They will be responsible for investigating case facts, drafting/responding to discovery requests, preparing witnesses, and engaging in extensive client and opposing counsel communication.

 

Job Duties:

  • Assist senior associates and shareholders in litigation matters, particularly those related to workplace safety.
  • Investigate underlying facts of cases involving workplace safety issues.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests pertaining to workplace safety litigation.
  • Prepare discovery motions related to workplace safety cases.
  • Prepare witnesses for litigation proceedings.
  • Maintain extensive communication with client representatives and opposing counsel.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be and remain licensed to practice law in California, in good standing.
  • 1+ years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to workplace safety cases.
  • Outstanding academic credentials, with preference given to candidates in the top 20% of their law school class.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in workplace safety litigation.
  • Familiarity with relevant workplace safety regulations and standards.
