Hanson Bridgett's Labor & Employment Section is seeking a mid-level associate with in employment litigation and advice and counsel. This position offers a competitive compensation package of a base salary ranging from $210,000 to $220,000.

The Labor & Employment Section of Hanson Bridgett, a renowned law firm, is looking for a mid-level associate with in employment litigation and advice and counsel. This associate will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to clients related to labor and employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate for this position should have experience in traditional labor law, as well as a strong interest in labor and employment.

This position may be based in one of Hanson Bridgett’s Bay Area offices, located in San Francisco, San Rafael, and Walnut Creek. The firm offers the flexibility to work remotely (hybrid) based on the needs of the firm. The annual base compensation range for this California position is between $210,000 and $220,000. Placement within the salary range depends upon a number of factors including, but not limited to years of experience and professional skills required for this role.

H2 - Responsibilities of a Mid-Level Labor & Employment Associate

The mid-level labor & employment associate is responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to clients related to labor and employment laws and regulations. This position requires the associate to be well versed in the following areas:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment-related agreements, such as employment contracts, restrictive covenant agreements, consulting agreements, separation agreements, and settlement agreements.
• Advising clients on compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including those related to wage and hour, discrimination, and harassment.
• Litigating claims related to employment and labor law before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
• Representing employers in labor negotiations, arbitrations, unfair labor practice proceedings, and other labor-related matters.
• Advising employers on employee discipline and termination.
• Advising employers on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Assisting in the development of policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Assisting with the development of strategies to avoid or minimize litigation.

The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications:

• in employment litigation and advice and counsel.
• Experience in traditional labor law is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Admitted to the California Bar or ability to waive in.
