The salary range for this position varies based on location, with the highest range being $230,000 - $250,000 in cities like San Francisco and New York. Essential Functions:

- Provide risk management, ethics, and compliance advice and guidance to attorneys and staff.
- Promote ethics and regulatory compliance within the firm.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda and documents.
- Handle all aspects of discovery, including responding to subpoenas and taking depositions.
- Represent and defend the firm in disputes.
- Manage litigation against the firm and supervise outside counsel.
- Conduct investigations, including employment-related investigations.
- Participate in firm-wide training and presentations on risk management issues.
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on latest legal developments and ethical rules applicable to attorneys.
- Resolve conflicts issues and assist with preparation of waiver letters and documents.
- Assist with special projects as requested by the General Counsel or Senior Management.

Additional Functions:

- Perform other reasonable tasks requested by firm-wide Managing Partner.
- Collaborate with outside counsel and negotiate and oversee settlements.
- Assist with special projects related to conflicts, litigation, and business intake.

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor degree and license to practice law in resident jurisdiction.
- 8-10 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, in-house position, or government.
- Familiarity with professional liability rules, ethics opinions, and Rules of Professional Conduct.
- Litigation experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent research skills and sound judgement.
- Strong work ethic and high level of integrity and ethics.
- Collaborative, inclusive, and people-oriented.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

- This job operates in a clerical, office setting.
- Standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, printers, and copiers are used.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Salary ranges vary based on location, with the highest range being $230,000 - $250,000 in cities like San Francisco and New York.
