Responsibilities of a Legal Assistant:

Supporting the litigation team by maintaining and organizing case files, scheduling appointments and meetings, and communicating with clients
Assisting with drafting and formatting legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and motions
Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date on court rules and procedures
Managing and maintaining the firm's calendar, including deadlines, hearings, and meetings
Communicating with clients and providing case status updates
Performing administrative tasks such as filing, organizing documents, and answering phone calls
Working closely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure cases are up-to-date and on track
Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
Multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and manage a high volume of work
Exhibiting strong communication, organizational, and time management skills

Requirements for a Legal Assistant:

A strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly
Extraordinary attention to detail and accuracy in time-sensitive and high-profile documents
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
Basic understanding of personal injury legal procedures, obtained through work experience in a personal injury law firm or completion of a paralegal certificate program
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with docketing, court procedures, time management, and deadline orientation
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook, and experience with Excel and PowerPoint
Outstanding interpersonal and administrative skills

The Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Litigation Department. Our firm specializes in Personal Injury cases and prides itself on providing personalized, hands-on representation to our clients. We are looking for a candidate who shares our dedication to high standards of representation and client satisfaction.

As a Legal Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team and will work closely with our attorneys and paralegals to support our litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. They should also have a basic understanding of personal injury legal procedures and excellent communication and organizational skills.

The primary responsibilities of this role include maintaining and organizing case files, scheduling appointments and meetings, and communicating with clients.
