A law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Partner to join their Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling all aspects of employment litigation, including wage and hour matters, class actions, and PAGA claims. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and manage a team of attorneys effectively. The candidate should have a proven track record of handling investigations before various labor agencies and representing clients in both federal and state courts.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including wage and hour matters, class actions, and PAGA claims.
  • Supervise and manage a team of attorneys, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct investigations and represent clients before the . Department of Labor, the California Department of Industrial Relations, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the EEOC, and other state and local human rights agencies.
  • Make court appearances in both federal and state courts for employment litigation cases.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies that align with client goals and firm policies.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other partners and firm management to achieve business development goals and contribute to the growth of the practice.
  • Stay current with developments in employment law and share relevant insights with the team and clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience in Labor and Employment law.
  • Extensive experience in managing and supervising multiple attorneys.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior attorneys.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle investigations and appear before labor agencies.
  • Strong courtroom experience with appearances in both federal and state courts.
  • Portable business will be considered and is highly desirable.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
