A law firm in Denver is seeking an experienced Energy Regulatory Associate Attorney with 4-5 years of energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, proven experience with regulatory matters before energy commissions, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

 

Job Details:

  • Handle regulatory and compliance matters before the Texas Public Utility Commission and other state energy regulatory commissions.
  • Manage matters involving the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) or other ISO/RTOs and organized power markets.
  • Provide advocacy before state utility commissions and handle power transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, power sales, and related matters.
  • Demonstrate expertise in regulatory and compliance matters within the energy sector.
  • Handle matters involving the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and other ISO/RTOs.
  • Provide advocacy before state utility commissions.
  • Manage power transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and power sales.

 

Requirements:

Active Bar license in the state.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Experience:

4-5 years of energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance experience.

 

Skills:

  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Superior judgment in legal decision-making.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Articulate legal strategies and courses of action.
