Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Environmental and Natural Resources Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in environmental law and/or natural resources law. This position involves working on complex legal matters related to environmental regulation, land use, natural resource management, and compliance with federal and state environmental laws.

Location:

  • Salt Lake City, UT

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on environmental and natural resources matters, including regulatory compliance.
  • Advise clients on land use, zoning, and natural resource management issues.
  • Assist with environmental permitting, assessments, and litigation.
  • Represent clients in negotiations with government agencies and during regulatory proceedings.
  • Draft and review environmental impact assessments, reports, and other legal documents.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and solutions related to environmental and natural resources issues.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in environmental law, natural resources law, or a combination of both.
  • Proven track record of handling regulatory compliance, permitting, and litigation matters related to environmental issues.
  • Experience working with both private sector clients and governmental agencies.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state environmental laws, regulations, and statutes.
  • Ability to work on complex legal issues, independently and in collaboration with a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the state bar in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in environmental and natural resources law.
  • Ability to advise clients on regulatory matters and navigate complex legal environments.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
