Position: Associate Litigation Attorney (SD Office)

Location: San Diego, CA

Salary Range: $140K to $210K

Position Overview:

- Seeking an experienced litigation attorney with 5-10 years of experience to handle tort/personal injury defense and complex liability matters for a hard-working AV-rated law firm.
- This position will be based in our San Diego office and will focus on retail defense cases.
- The ideal candidate will have a self-starting attitude, solid work ethic, and experience in all aspects of litigation.
- Must have experience in investigation, research, analysis, discovery, and motions.
- Strong research and writing skills are required.
- Must have experience taking percipient/party/expert depositions and representing clients in mediations and court hearings.

Responsibilities:

- Handle tort/personal injury defense and complex liability matters.
- Conduct thorough investigation, research, and analysis for cases.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
- Take percipient/party/expert depositions.
- Represent clients in mediations and court hearings.
- Communicate with clients and provide updates on case progress.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the California State Bar.
- 5-10 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on tort/personal injury defense and complex liability matters.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Experience with all aspects of litigation, including investigation, research, analysis, discovery, and motions.
- Proven ability to take percipient/party/expert depositions and represent clients in mediations and court hearings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
