Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Associate to join its world-class Infrastructure Group. The firm offers a diverse and expansive infrastructure practice, with a focus on the innovative delivery of large public civil works projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in construction law, real estate law, public contract law, and/or transportation regulatory law, with a strong interest in managing complex ;

Location: Sacramento, CA 

Duties:

  • Manage multiple infrastructure-related legal projects across a variety of sectors including construction, real estate, public contracts, and transportation.
  • Provide legal advice on public civil works projects, regulatory compliance, and transactional matters.
  • Draft and review contracts, project agreements, and other legal documents related to infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Take ownership of significant projects and provide mentorship to junior associates.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide strategic counsel on regulatory and contractual issues.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in construction law, real estate law, public contract law, or transportation regulatory law.
  • Professional or academic background in engineering, construction, and/or project finance is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of significant legal matters and provide leadership.
  • Admission to the state bar in the office location is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar where the position is located.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction law, public contract law, real estate law, and transportation regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage projects effectively.
