This role involves working closely with individuals and families to develop customized estate plans that align with their long-term goals. The attorney will handle client consultations, draft essential legal documents, and provide guidance on estate, gift, and tax planning strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial consultations with potential clients to evaluate their estate planning needs and recommend tailored legal solutions.
- Analyze client assets, financial structures, and family dynamics to design comprehensive estate plans that meet legal and tax requirements.
- Prepare, review, and finalize essential estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
- Explain estate plans to clients in detail, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring they understand the impact of their legal decisions.
- Maintain regular communication with current and past clients to assess potential modifications or updates to existing estate plans.
- Oversee the client engagement process, including preparing agreements, securing signatures, and processing retainers and payments.

- Keep meticulous records of all meetings, phone calls, and case developments, ensuring proper documentation in client files.

- Stay informed of changes in estate, tax, and probate laws to ensure compliance and provide the most effective counsel to clients.
- Attend scheduled department and firm-wide meetings to coordinate efforts and stay updated on legal best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
- Active California State Bar license in good standing.
- Certification as a Specialist in Trusts, Wills & Probate is highly preferred.
- Minimum of three years of estate planning experience, with expertise in drafting and executing comprehensive estate plans.
- Strong working knowledge of estate, gift, and income tax laws relevant to estate planning.
- Notary Public certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience using legal case management software and workflow tracking tools to manage tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate legal concepts into clear and actionable advice for clients.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple client matters simultaneously.
