## Environmental Associate – Law Firm – Newark

Law Firm is seeking an experienced Environmental Associate to join their Newark office. The ideal candidate should have three to five years of experience in New Jersey environmental regulatory, transactional, and permitting areas, with a focus on Brownfields and wetlands redevelopment experience. Knowledge of New York environmental regulatory, transactional, and permitting associated with Brownfields and wetlands development is a plus.

**Job Responsibilities**
- Advise clients on environmental regulations and permitting requirements
- Represent clients in administrative proceedings and court proceedings related to environmental matters
- Draft and review transactional documents related to environmental matters
- Negotiate and settle environmental disputes
- Monitor and track changes in environmental laws
- Perform due diligence associated with environmental matters

**Qualifications**
- JD degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York
- 3-5 years of experience in New Jersey environmental regulatory, transactional, and permitting areas, with a focus on Brownfields and wetlands redevelopment
- Knowledge of New York environmental regulatory, transactional, and permitting associated with Brownfields and wetlands development is a plus
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
