The Legal Aid Society is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff Attorney to join our Parole Revocation Defense Unit (PRDU). This is a fast-paced and litigation-intensive practice, representing clients accused of violating their conditions of release at administrative parole revocation hearings. As a Staff Attorney, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the criminal justice system and provide zealous and effective defense representation for our clients.

Responsibilities:
- Handle parole revocation cases at all stages, including hearings, appeals, and post-conviction proceedings
- Collaborate with support staff, paralegals, and investigative staff to provide comprehensive defense representation
- Partner with social work team to identify and develop mitigation strategies for clients with mental health, substance abuse, or medical needs
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
- Strong courtroom skills
- Background in criminal or administrative law, or prison-related litigation is a plus
- Fluency in Spanish is strongly desired

Salary and Benefits:
- Salary range: $80,619 to $142,218
