We are looking for a compassionate and self-motivated attorney with at least five years of experience in plaintiff personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will be able to handle complex cases from intake to verdict or settlement and work closely with our team to serve as an advocate for our clients. Duties & Responsibilities: - Communicate with clients to understand their legal needs and provide advice - Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively - Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action for each client - Take, review, and administer depositions and oral hearings for witnesses and experts - Prepare all necessary documents to file cases (150 caseload) - Work closely with legal assistants and paralegals to prepare comprehensive briefs for trials - Maintain a regular schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences - Schedule and administer depositions for cases, witnesses, and experts - Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action for each client Qualifications: Education, Knowledge, and Skills: - Must have at least 5 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury cases - Must be licensed in NJ - Proficiency in negotiating settlements with insurance carriers and resolving property damage claims - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite - Ability to multi-task and exhibit organizational skills - Experience with trials - Team player with collaborative attributes - Ability to maintain confidentiality - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Case Management systems, and Document Management systems - Strong written and oral communication skills - Tenacity, drive, and compassion - Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision - Willingness to travel to court - Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred Physical Requirements: - Able to lift up to 20-25 lbs - Able to sit for prolonged periods of time (7-8 hours) - Familiarity with standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers - Manual dexterity Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive salary of $120,000-150,000 per year - 401K plan with match - Medical, vision, and dental coverage - FSA and life insurance - Long-term disability insurance - Paid time off and firm closed holidays - Wellness incentives and discretionary bonus - Birthday lunches, holiday parties, and picnics - Season tickets to the New Jersey Devils (if you love hockey!)
