Job Title: Litigation Counsel (HYBRID)
- Full-time, hybrid role with 2-3 days working onsite in Chevy Chase, MD or New York, NY
- Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department

Salary: $148, - $254, annual range (final salary based on multiple factors)

Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive strategy for high-profile litigation matters, including class actions and complex litigation
- Collaborate with and manage outside counsel
- Advise internal stakeholders on litigation strategy and risks
- Coordinate and participate in internal discovery activities
- Facilitate escalation of complex matters and referral to outside counsel
- Conduct research to provide relevant advice
- Proactively monitor legislation, regulations, and emerging trends in insurance, claims, privacy, employment law, and litigation procedure
- Counsel and advise GEICO leadership on pending litigation and trends

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in at least one . jurisdiction
- 5-7+ years of litigation management experience in a law firm, government, or in-house role
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
- Proficiency in managing multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing class actions
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, both legal and non-legal
- Trial and appellate experience
