McGlinchey Stafford seeks to hire an attorney with litigation experience to join our very active litigation practice in New Orleans. This role will involve hands-on work across a range of litigation practice areas, primarily insurance defense and first-party property claims defense. This role is open to litigators with 5-8 years of experience. Flexible schedules are available. While we encourage our attorneys to have a regular presence in the office to promote collegiality and our firm culture, our remote work policy provides for some remote work options.

Ideal candidates will also have:

A team mindset while assisting with preparation for trials and evidentiary hearings;
Confidence in serving as a representative of clients and our firm while meeting and conferring with opposing counsel;
A willingness to be proactive and take ownership of projects and assignments;
Excellent research and analytical skills as well as clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; and
A demonstrated dedication to client service.

Qualification and Experience A current, active license to practice law in Louisiana; 5-8 years of litigation experience; Experience with insurance defense and/or first-party property claims defense; Experience drafting pleadings, arguing substantive motions in court, taking and defending depositions, and other facets of the litigation process; Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills; The ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines; Experience participating in the development of a strategy for written and deposition discovery; Ability to distill research into meaningful and persuasive written work product and to work meticulously to ensure the quality of work product.
