Family Law Associate Attorney

Law Firm **Members Only** is looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team and help them grow. As an Associate Attorney, the successful candidate will be responsible for actively handling all aspects of a client’s case from intake to completion. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years experience as an attorney in Family Law in King and/or Snohomish counties and have a firm grasp on how to handle all aspects of a family law matter from start to finish knowledge of the state and local court rules.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Establish positive and collaborative working relationships with clients, colleagues, and the courts.
- Effectively apply legal solutions to clients’ issues.
- Research case law, draft correspondence, and draft/file pleadings.
- Effectively represent clients at hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Consult with and retain new clients.
- Work with support staff to accurately calendar all hearings, filing deadlines and other key dates.
- Take ownership of assignments an execute them timely.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- License to practice law in Washington state.
- Candidates must be a current, active member of the Washington State Bar Association in good standing.
- Must successfully pass a background check and aptitude and fit testing.
- Preferably 2+ years experience.
- Excellent and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with Family Soft/Support Calc, Adobe Acrobat and MS Office, including Excel.
- Experience in court, including motions on the Family Law Motions Calendar and before assigned Judges.

Job Type and Compensation

- This position is full-time.
- The salary range is: $60, – $200, per year.
