Law Firm Seeks Benefits Law Associate Attorney in California with Zero to Three Years of Experience

Are you a motivated and dedicated attorney looking for a new opportunity in the legal field? Our law firm, known as WRR, is currently seeking a Benefits Law Associate Attorney with a California license and zero to three years of experience. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of union and employee benefit plan clients, providing them with both general and legal advice.

Job Duties:

• Providing general and legal advice to diverse union and employee benefit plan clients
• Attending client meetings
• Representing workers at grievance arbitration hearings
• Handling ERISA related litigation, including enforcement of contribution obligations, subrogation, benefit denial and withdrawal liability cases
• Defending employee benefit plan and union clients in administrative hearings and state and federal court

Qualifications:

• Dedication to the labor movement
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills
• Attention to detail
• Organization and time management skills
• Real estate experience is a plus

The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated self-starter with excellent judgment and communication skills. They must also be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in California.

Salary and Benefits:

At WRR, we value our associates and offer a competitive salary and benefits package. Associates are paid on a pay step scale based on years of experience performing relevant work. The scale starts at $86, and ends at $122,, with benefits. These benefits include participation in a defined benefit pension plan, annual employer 401(k) contribution equal to 5% of salary, and 100% employer paid premiums for health, dental, and vision insurance for the employee and all eligible dependents. Additionally, we offer associates the option to participate in a tax-free student loan assistance program and are eligible for bonuses.
