The law firm of Nelson Mullins is currently seeking a highly qualified Energy and Environmental Regulatory Associate to join their team in Columbia, South Carolina. As a member of a growing practice within an AmLaw100 firm, this position offers a unique opportunity for a lateral associate to make a significant impact in the field of energy and environmental law. The successful candidate will have between two and five years of meaningful litigation experience, with a strong preference for those with experience in energy and environmental law. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and financing of thermal and renewable energy projects
- Work on a variety of projects, including wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, waste-to-energy, natural gas and coal facilities, and natural gas pipelines
- Manage cases and take a lead role in litigation proceedings
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to achieve shared goals
- Participate in pro bono and community service initiatives

Qualifications:
- Between two and five years of litigation experience
- Strong preference for experience in energy and environmental law
- Excellent oral and written advocacy skills
- Admitted in Good Standing to the South Carolina State Bar
