This position is based in the firm’s San Francisco and San Diego offices (and potentially open to other locations). The ideal candidate should possess: • Experience with start-ups and emerging growth companies, including seed and venture capital financings and public offerings. A minimum of ten venture financings using NVCA documents is required. • Experience with domestic M&A transactions particularly for startup companies and investors. • Proactive, with a strong business sense and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships. • Experience working in a premier corporate practice. • Involvement with, or an affinity for, technology, life sciences, and/or CPG businesses. • Ability to concisely and effectively communicate complex matters in oral and written form. • Commitment to delivering excellent client service. • Entrepreneurial, innovative and forward thinking. • Excellent business and legal problem solving skills and judgement. • A strong work ethic, team player attitude and action-oriented interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility for transactions. • Bar Admission in California is required.
