Salary Information: The salary for this position will vary based on experience and qualifications. However, the minimum requirement for this role is a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience. Preferred qualifications include a Juris Doctorate and knowledge in the fields of accounting and taxation. Additional certifications such as CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar are also preferred. Experience with programming in SAS or a similar statistical software package is also preferred. Responsibilities: The responsibilities for this role include: Providing tax services to a variety of tax-exempt organizations, including colleges and universities, health care entities, foundations, supporting organizations, and cultural and religious organizations. Assisting clients in achieving measurable results, such as obtaining and preserving tax-exempt status, identifying planning opportunities, and complying with tax requirements. Staying up-to-date with emerging tax issues and trends and helping clients develop successful tax strategies in response to legislative, federal, and judicial tax developments. Conducting statistical analyses and providing statistical consulting services related to tax issues. Demonstrating technical skills in tax compliance and consulting for not-for-profit organizations. Researching business and industry trends to develop a point of view for use in proposals. Utilizing technology and digitization to improve efficiency and provide value to clients. Participating in the negotiation process and reviewing contracts for new pricing options. Qualifications: The basic qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience. Preferred qualifications include a Juris Doctorate and knowledge in the fields of accounting and taxation. Additional certifications such as CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar are also preferred.
