**Qualifications**

- . from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Status as an active member in good standing of the bar in at least one state jurisdiction and, for a position in the Baltimore, Boston, New York, or Washington, DC offices, the ability to obtain licensure in the relevant state within 6 months of hire.
- Demonstrated experience with the ESA, CWA Section 404 (wetlands), and NEPA.
- Additional experience with other species protection laws (MBTA, BGEPA, MMPA, and/or CITES).
- NHPA experience, CWA 402 construction stormwater experience, CWA 401 experience, and complex project permitting experience, CWA 404 individual permitting program experience, and reviewing/drafting comments on NEPA documents experience.
- Supplementary experience with administrative record litigation (drafting motions and briefs in APA cases), experience with upstream and midstream oil and gas projects, and experience with renewable energy projects.
- Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to work well under deadlines, and the ability to assume significant client responsibilities.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- College degree in biological or physical science/environmental studies is a plus.
- Federal lands experience is a plus.
- Located in the Eastern Time Zone.

**Compensation**

In accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which this position may be filled, the base salary range for this position is $220,000 - $240,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. The compensation for this position may also include a discretionary annual bonus and an hours-based bonus.
