Latham & Watkins LLP, a leading global law firm, is currently seeking mid-level associates with a minimum of 2 years of private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience to join our Private Equity Practice. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about finance and have a strong background in borrower side representation, preferably with experience working with private equity sponsors.

Our Private Equity Practice handles a high volume of mid cap and top tier transactions for corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, and their portfolio companies. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge deals and gain valuable experience in the private equity sector. We are looking for talented individuals who possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of finance and legal concepts. As an associate in our Private Equity Practice, you will be responsible for advising clients on a wide range of complex financial transactions, including private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance deals. You will work closely with our experienced partners and have the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities early on in your career.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in general company-side representation. Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on complex financial transactions, including private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance deals
- Work closely with experienced partners and take on significant responsibilities early on in your career
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support client matters
- Draft and review legal documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, and other financing documents
- Participate in negotiations with opposing counsel and other parties involved in the transaction

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance experience
- Strong academic credentials and a JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar in which you are applying or eligible to waive in
- Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of finance and legal concepts related to private equity transactions
