Charlotte office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a patent agent with 2-5 years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO with demonstrable success achieving issuances. The candidate prepares and prosecutes patent applications directed to clients? inventions. Works closely with large and small client service teams to provide business-oriented client patent procurement services. Prepare, draft and supervise the filing of United States patent applications. Work closely with firm patent attorneys and various client contacts. Prepare, draft and supervise associate counsel filing of non-US patent applications. Prosecute US and non-US patent applications to issuance by regularly conducting USPTO Examiner interviews to expedite patent application prosecution and preparation of substantive Office Action responses. Understand differing client patent procurement goals and modify the style of prosecution according to client goals. In some cases, evaluate the patentability of inventions and counsel clients regarding the same. Perform research and analysis, and provide guidance on a variety of patent and IP-related issues. Should be Patent Barred and have a Bachelor?s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering with experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO.
