Houston Harbaugh, ., a highly reputable law firm located in downtown Pittsburgh, is seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed associate attorney to join our Oil & Gas Practice Group. With a team of 40 lawyers and 33 non-lawyer staff, Houston Harbaugh has established itself as one of the best places to work in Pittsburgh since its founding in 1975. Join us and be a part of a fast-paced, busy practice that offers the opportunity to work directly with clients and grow professionally.

We are looking for an attorney with 1-3 years of experience, preferably with a background in litigation and strong critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate will have a desire for professional growth and be ready to take on the following responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

- Assisting with litigation matters, including preparing pleadings, responding to discovery, and preparing for depositions
- Conducting legal research and drafting briefs, memoranda, and litigation position statements
- Making court appearances and reviewing contract documents for oil and gas related matters
- Counseling clients on contract issues and potential litigation

Qualifications:

- Admission to the Pennsylvania bar is required, with West Virginia and Ohio licensure as bonuses
- Litigation experience, including drafting pleadings and motions and conducting depositions, is required
- Familiarity with basic Microsoft-based document preparation tools and time-entry is preferred
