Orlans is a fast growing, energetic, and collaborative law firm expanding our practice. We are looking for an experienced Associate Attorney with a solid work ethic, experience with real estate documents, and a superior attention to detail. Knowledge of default law, real estate or civil litigation, bankruptcy, or evictions is required.

Responsibilities of the Associate Attorney:

• Attend hearings and prepare documents filed with the court, including motions for relief from stay, proofs of claim, and objections to confirmation.


• Review files as they are assigned and develop strategies for handling these files

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degree


• Admission to the RI State Bar


• 1 to 5 years of legal practice experience in collections or foreclosure preferred.


• Ability to manage a high file volume.


• Ability to perform research and efficiently and effectively communicate results both verbally and written, including publications.


• Knowledge of various corporate structures and arrangements and demonstrated ability to review and recommend alternatives.


• Ability to effectively assess and balance risks and make business decisions.
