Role Overview

- Provides legal guidance to operating unit management regarding contracts and operations, risk assessment, and claims management
- Reviews, negotiates, drafts, and enforces contracts throughout the project lifecycle
- Identifies potential risks and provides creative solutions
- Negotiates directly with external customers and vendors
- Prepares contract and legal documents
- Assists with prime contract flow down terms and conditions for subcontract agreements
- Supports effective contract administration and change management
- Provides counsel and recommendations on claims management and dispute resolution
- Collaborates with project managers and other team members on project strategies and decisions
- Represents the company in addressing commercial matters with customers
- Liaises with other departments to support operations
- May travel for project meetings and dispute resolution proceedings

Qualifications

- JD and licensed to practice law in at least one state
- 3+ years of contracts-related experience, preferably in construction
- Experience reviewing and negotiating EPC and construction agreements
- Knowledge of claims and risk management
- Previous in-house experience preferred
