Law Firm is looking for a mid-level associate to join their Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group in Los Angeles. This position will focus on structuring and analyzing investments in partnerships that own renewable energy assets. The successful candidate will have three to five years of experience in renewable energy transactions involving tax-equity financings and strong academic credentials. Previous experience at a top-tier firm is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $295,000 - $370,000.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tax advice on the structuring of renewable energy investments, including tax-equity financings, and other tax aspects of renewable energy transactions.
• Assist with the structuring of the formation of renewable energy partnerships and the negotiation of partnership agreements.
• Research and analyze complex tax issues and provide advice to clients on tax law and regulations.
• Draft and review tax opinions and other memoranda.
• Participate in due diligence and other transactional work.
• Assist with the development of tax structures for new transactions.
• Work closely with clients and other attorneys to ensure that all tax aspects of transactions are addressed.

Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in renewable energy transactions involving tax-equity financings.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Previous experience at a top-tier firm is preferred.
• Excellent research, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
