Duties

  • Lead global patent prosecution and management of patent portfolios.
  • Advise clients on freedom to operate, licensing agreements, and other technology-related transactions.
  • Conduct intellectual property due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies based on a comprehensive understanding of scientific principles.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and delivering results.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide legal advice and solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Contribute to firm growth by identifying new opportunities and supporting business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
  • Experience in global patent portfolio management, freedom to operate, and IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Ability to apply scientific knowledge to legal strategies and patent law.
  • Must be registered with the USPTO.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple legal matters and maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making ability.

Education

  • . in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific field is required.

Certifications
