The ideal candidate should possess 5+ years of relevant experience and have expertise in intellectual property law. Duties:

  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications in various technical fields.
  • Conduct patent searches and prior art analysis to assess patentability.
  • Provide legal counsel on intellectual property matters, including patent validity and infringement.
  • Draft legal documents, such as patent applications, responses to office actions, and legal opinions.
  • Collaborate with inventors, clients, and colleagues to strategize patent portfolio management.
  • Assist in patent litigation, if necessary.
  • Stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
  • A portable book of business is preferred.
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, physics, biotechnology, or a computer-related discipline.
  • Familiarity with trademark, transactional, licensing, and/or copyright matters is a plus.
  • Active membership with the Colorado Bar Association (CO Bar membership required).

Education:

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, physics, biotechnology, or computer-related discipline.
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Colorado Bar Association.

Skills:
