Location:
Duties:
- Analyze legal situations and develop strategic action plans to effectively address clients’ needs.
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and separation agreements.
- Represent clients in court proceedings to protect their interests.
- Collaborate with the Managing Attorney to ensure efficient case progression through the civil litigation process.
- Consult with potential clients to assess their needs and determine appropriate legal steps.
- Manage cases diligently to ensure timely advancement and resolution.
- Conduct quality reviews to ensure legal documents adhere to case law and are clear and accurate.
- Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings.
- Advocate for clients by developing personalized strategies based on in-depth analysis of their needs.
- Maintain well-organized and up-to-date client files.
- Attend court hearings to ensure effective representation.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in family law.
- Valid North Carolina Law License.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, especially in emotionally charged situations.
- A 4-year degree with a legal background and a . degree.
- Experience with billing and tracking billable hours.
- Ability to creatively problem-solve and develop workable solutions independently.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and organized; willing to work across multiple office locations when necessary.
- Self-starter who proactively manages priorities and tasks.
- Willingness to travel locally around Charlotte for mediations, depositions, and court appearances.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 4-year degree with a legal background.
Certifications:
- North Carolina Law License required.
