Job Overview:

  • Work as part of a collaborative and experienced team handling various employee benefit plans, health and welfare benefit plans, and executive compensation arrangements.
  • Provide expertise in mergers and acquisitions related benefits work, qualified plans, executive compensation, and health and welfare matters.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with the team to advise clients on various employee benefit plans and programs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to executive compensation and employee benefits.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including plan documents, agreements, and disclosures.
  • Provide guidance and support on compliance matters related to employee benefits and executive compensation.
  • Assist in negotiations and transactions involving executive compensation and benefits.
  • Stay updated on legal developments and regulatory changes affecting employee benefits and executive compensation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in New York.
  • Mid-to-senior level experience in executive compensation and employee benefits law.
  • Strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions related benefits work, qualified plans, and health and welfare benefits.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

Certifications:

  • Membership in good standing with the New York State Bar Association or equivalent.
