At A24, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our Legal & Business Affairs team and support our growing scripted TV businesses. As a global entertainment company, A24 is known for producing award-winning films and TV shows, such as Everything Everywhere All At Once and Euphoria. This role is based in Los Angeles and requires in-person work from our West Hollywood office.

H2: Responsibilities

As an attorney for A24's Legal & Business Affairs team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of responsibilities, including:

- Structuring, drafting, and negotiating a high volume of TV development and production deals
- Overseeing and managing various aspects of scripted TV productions
- Drafting and negotiating short and long-form agreements with network partners and international broadcasters
- Serving as a liaison with talent agencies, attorneys, networks, and other key collaborators
- Advising internal executives on deal strategies and complex legal issues
- Partnering with business and legal executives to design and implement best practices

H2: Qualifications

To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

- 5+ years of transactional experience in a television business/legal affairs department or entertainment law firm

- Strong knowledge of television industry customs, practices, and agreements, contract law, and intellectual property rights
- Familiarity with production clearance issues and ability to advise on copyright and trademark matters
- Expertise in guild and union agreements, contracts, and intellectual property law
- Comfortable managing and developing team members
- Attention to detail, project management, time management, long-term planning skills, and creative problem-solving abilities
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, including strong communication, negotiation, and drafting abilities
- Ability to build relationships and interact with all levels of employees
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities, pivot quickly, and think practically

H2: Salary and Benefits

At A24, we value our employees and offer competitive compensation and benefits. The target annual pay range for this role is between $200,000 and $230,000, with actual starting pay depending on experience, skills, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, competitive healthcare, and other employee benefits.
